My mother's breast cancer (7 yrs) has metastasized to her lungs and chest wall. She just started Letrozole, and even with this, she has been given about 10 months. Her oncologist indicated that it may lose its effectiveness in as little as 3 months, but could go much longer (they will monitor). Main concern other than that is the weakening of her bones, so they are doing a bone scan to establish a base line.

Does anyone have any personal experience with this drug?
