Ovarian cancer that metastized (not sure of spelling) in the pleura

Hi. My name is Susana. On March 22 I was dignosed with cancer. The doctors spent some time looking for the primary since it presented with a lung that was oppresed and full of liquid. Since then, I had liquid extractions, an operation to do a biopsy (still wearing a caterer. Now doctors believe is 90% ovarian cancer. I had a cist in the ovary that was not checked for 5 years. I love life, I am 61 but with a mind a 19 and up to now a body of a 35. I have worked very hard and I looked forward next year when I intended to take time off to do my bucked (travelling, having a mopped, playing with my 4 grandchildren that are adorable. I was also planning to get a divorce and live the life I wanted to live. All of this is now on hold and I have difficulties maintaining positivity. Some times I cry, sometimes I get angry, sometimes I do things to see if I could help myself. I would like to connect with a group of people that are going through the same situation.

Hello Susana:
This is a good place to find information and support from other cancer survivors. Not many of us are dealing with the exact same cancers but all have one thing in common, cancer. I had two battles uterine and thyroid cancer.

I completely understand the part about putting your life on hold. You are not alone. I fought two difficult battles. all of us fighting cancer have to put life on hold.

Please check the events tab and see what kind of chats are available. I found the more I learned about my cancer and my treatment the better I felt heading into my journey.

I always took my daughter into every meeting i had with my doctors so she could help fill in the gaps when I returned home. I was in a fog. My daughter and I wrote out questions etc and she wrote everything down for me to read later.

I moderate a chat called Cancer, The Journey. Please join me and other survivors in a discussion dealing with life and cancer.

I found a great therapist to tell my story to during my surgeries and treatments. He was a great comfort to me. I asked my doctor at the cancer hospital and he helped me find my therapist.

Courage is doing what it takes in spite of your fears.....
