Hi Cheryl

Sorry to hear of your struggles. It can be hard to find the support you need living with advance disease. I have had experience with many women who have had mets to the bone. For many this has been a slow process allowing them time to still develop a plan around a good quality of life. There are programs for survivors living with disease that is further along. You may want to check out the website ;caringtotheend' There are many resources there and tips on support. Many patients can benefit early on with connecting to palliative care program. Palliative care will work with you for many years to help you maintain your quality of life for as long as possible. Depending on your location there could be something near by to help you. Scott

Hi, hope my response is still helpful to you. I'm also metastatic with mets to the bone - would love to connect to see how you are doing. My basic strategy has been to focus alot on my creative outlets, in between tests and monthly pamidronate infusions. It's helped alot. I'm still feeling pretty well (cancer mets found last Feb 2010) but I've had a few fractures in sternum and ribs (I also have osteoporisis) -- this has been more frustrating than anything as no one seems to be able to offer any advice on how I can live with or correct the discomfort I feel from the fractures. Very frustrating. Anyway, I'm in good spirits and hope you are too - all the best, Mary
