I was diagnosed and had treatment (lumpectomy, chemo & radiation) for breast cancer all of last year. I now need as many of my fellow breast cancer survivors to go online to vote for my story on Metro Newspaper, Toronto Edition

I am one of the five finalists in Metro Newspaper's "New You Makeover." contest. The person whose story has the most votes will win the $10,000 prize, which includes coveted career coaching. As someone who graduated from a college just two months before my diagnosis, winning a contest like this would give me a hands up in finding a suitable job.

Then there are three short steps:

1) Register (click on the "Register/Logon" icon in the top green banner) for Club Metro, this includes your e-mail.

2) Go to the inbox of the e-mail you registered with and look for an e-mail from Club Metro; then activate the link in the e-mail.

3) Go back to the clubmetro page, click on the New You Makeover contest and vote for story #3 - "Breast Cancer Survivor". (Stories are at the bottom of the New You Makeover page).

The deadline is March 6 @ midnight. Thank you everyone who votes. Metro will announce the winner either on March 7 or 8th . Of course, I will write back about the results. Win or lose, the breast cancer experience has been a transforming experience - as we all know. Cheers, Lisa
